About the role
You dissect RFPs and architect systems for defense clients while owning end to end solution delivery from initial discovery through production operations. This role translates complex regulatory and technical constraints into clear, executable pathways and guides research initiatives through capture to implementation. You partner with business development and technology teams to shape strategic capture outcomes and influence solution direction at critical decision points. You own the technical narrative that connects customer pain points to feasible capabilities and justify architecture choices to diverse stakeholders. You translate ambiguous mission needs into structured approaches that balance security, scalability, and schedule pressures. You mentor junior architects and engineers on rigorous solution design while maintaining traceability from requirements to delivered components. You serve as the definitive technical authority for assigned programs and represent the solutions perspective in executive discussions.

What you'll do
Designing end to end technical approaches for defense and intelligence programs from initial RFP questions and customer problem statements.
Orchestrating cross functional research initiatives that mature technical readiness levels against strict timelines and evolving customer expectations.
Translating complex architectures into clear narratives so leaders, evaluators, and decision makers see feasible implementation paths and understand trade offs.
Authoring critical technical sections of proposals while coordinating inputs from security specialists, systems engineers, and software leads to ensure consistency.
Building strategic technology roadmaps that align program objectives with GEOINT, space domain, and AI ML capabilities in support of mission outcomes.
Partnering with business development teams to refine estimates, white papers, and responses to RFIs and RFPs to strengthen competitiveness.
Strengthening existing programs by introducing proven methods, patterns, and adjacent solutions into demanding customer contexts and operational environments.
Driving innovation through IRAD oversight, tracking cost, schedule, and delivery metrics to achieve target maturity and performance levels.
Championing DevSecOps and CI/CD practices that meet scale on CPAF, CPIF, and CPFF contract vehicles while satisfying rigorous security and compliance standards.
Confirming US citizenship and maintaining active TS SCI with Polygraph for ongoing eligibility and access to classified mission requirements.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor's degree and bring 10 or more years of relevant computer science, engineering, or data science experience in complex technical environments.
You have led engineering efforts for government programs generating at least $50 million in annual revenue across multiple initiatives or campaigns.
You understand leading technology providers in GEOINT, space domain technologies, and AI ML implementation and can adapt these to defense constraints.
You have direct experience with NSG systems and related architectures in secure environments where operational security and data protection are paramount.
You apply Agile methods within CPAF, CPIF, and CPFF frameworks to delivery predictability, transparency, and value realization.
You manage DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines that operate at scale across complex programs, integrating testing, deployment, and monitoring.
You have worked as a solution architect or technical lead on captures and proposals in defense contexts, demonstrating success in winning and delivering programs.
You are a US citizen and possess an active TS SCI clearance with Polygraph adjudication that remains valid for accessing sensitive national security information.
Nice to have
Direct experience supporting NGA, NRO, and COCOM related J2 work areas in operational contexts and understanding their unique requirements.
Proven success building partnerships with suppliers during proposal and capture cycles to align technical approaches and pricing strategies.
GEOINT specific technology background and remote sensing education or hands on exposure to imagery, geospatial data, and analytical workflows.
Strong briefing skills focused on technology demonstrations for evaluator audiences, including clarity, precision, and responsiveness to challenging questions.

Practical notes
This role requires US citizenship and an active TS SCI with Polygraph adjudication.
