About the role
This position invites you to join the Data Experience team to build and enhance Jobboards's analytics platform. In this capacity, you will own the development of new features and the stewardship of existing products, ensuring a high bar of technical quality across the entire application stack. You will become an integral part of a collaborative and cross-functional environment, delivering critical functionality that empowers users to make better decisions. The role emphasizes ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept through robust deployment and ongoing optimization. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders to translate analytical needs into performant and intuitive data visualizations. You will leverage modern tooling and workflows to drive efficiency and elevate the standard of development within the team.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and implement new features for the core Analytics platform, translating strategic objectives into tangible user-facing capabilities.
- Refactor and optimize legacy code within existing Analytics products to bolster availability, accelerate load times, and sharpen UI responsiveness.
- Partner proactively with engineers, product managers, product designers, and the Data Platform team to shepherd ideas from initial brainstorming to a stable production release.
- Author comprehensive automated tests, including unit and integration suites, to establish a safety net that guarantees platform reliability.
- Engage actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback that elevates the collective codebase and establishes best practices for the team.
- Integrate and utilize AI-assisted coding agents into your daily workflow to accelerate development cycles and reduce repetitive manual tasks.
- Monitor application performance in production, diagnosing issues and collaborating with backend teams to ensure a seamless user journey.
- Advocate for technical excellence by identifying technical debt and proposing pragmatic, high-impact remediation strategies.
- Document complex system architectures and component interactions to empower new team members and maintain institutional knowledge.
- Maintain a keen focus on the end user, iterating on the interface to ensure data exploration feels intuitive, efficient, and visually coherent.
- Contribute to the definition of product metrics and success indicators, using data to validate the impact of your engineering contributions.
- Operate within the Agile delivery framework, breaking down epics into manageable tasks and consistently meeting sprint commitments.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience delivering production-grade TypeScript applications that power real user workflows.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of dedicated experience constructing data-intensive applications or complex dashboards where performance, UI responsiveness, and sophisticated state management are paramount.
- Show a consistent history of writing clean, maintainable code that is modular, well-structured, and easy to extend over time.
- Provide evidence of extensive automated test coverage, including unit and integration tests, ensuring high confidence in deployments.
- Exhibit comfort and proven skill in utilizing AI-assisted and agentic coding tools as a standard part of your daily development process.
- Prove excellence in communication, thriving in a fully remote, distributed team environment across different time zones.
- Display strong ownership, self-direction, and the ability to manage your workload without direct supervision.
- Have a deep understanding of modern frontend toolchains, version control, and continuous integration practices.

Practical notes
This engagement is structured as a non-exclusive independent contractor role, operating outside the framework of Argentina Law 20,744. No employment relationship, social benefits, or labor entitlements are created by this engagement. You will integrate with a distributed team based in the United States and Canada, necessitating reasonable availability during the core operational hours of the Jobboards business day. The duration is initially projected for approximately 12 months, contingent upon satisfactory performance and mutual agreement, with a defined potential for extension based on evolving project needs.
