Software Engineer (Contract, Argentina)

About the role

Greenhouse is seeking a software engineer to join our Enterprise Apps team for a 12-month contract. You will help build an AI-native operating layer to automate internal workflows and improve operational efficiency across the company.

What you'll do

• Define architecture for our AI and agentic systems, including agent loops, memory, evaluation, and observability.
• Collaborate with internal departments like Finance, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition to identify and automate complex workflows.
• Develop and deploy production-ready services using Python and TypeScript.
• Build internal user interfaces and manage integrations with tools such as Slack, Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Zendesk, Jira, and Okta.
• Design PostgreSQL data models to support automation and AI experimentation.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation, testing, and operational runbooks.
• Provide support for production systems during agreed-upon windows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for full-stack development.
• Experience building internal dashboards using frontend frameworks like React.
• Background in managing SaaS integrations, specifically handling webhooks, OAuth, retries, rate limits, and idempotency.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL data modeling.
• Commitment to testing practices using tools like Jest, pytest, or RSpec.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and observability platforms like Datadog or Rollbar.

Practical notes

This is a non-exclusive independent contractor engagement. You will be contracted and paid through Deel. While the role is remote in Argentina, you must maintain reasonable availability to coordinate with our distributed team based in the US and Canada. This position does not constitute an employment relationship with Greenhouse and is not subject to Argentine Law 20,744.
