GTM Engineer
Job description
GTM Engineer at Jobboards.
About the role
Jobboards seeks a GTM Engineer to join our Revenue Operations team. This role owns the full lifecycle from intake to shipping for GTM systems. You will solve ambiguous business demands by deploying software that drives productivity across the entire Customer Growth & Success (CGS) lifecycle. The position focuses on designing, building, and scaling internal web applications used by multiple teams. Our initial build centers on a workflow automation and insights platform serving all GTM teams. You will be responsible for translating high-level business objectives into technical specifications that directly impact revenue operations and efficiency. The role requires a deep partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that the solutions built are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. You will have the autonomy to make technical decisions that shape the direction of the internal tools landscape. Ultimately, your work will enable the sales and customer success teams to operate at a higher level of performance and insight.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design, build, and extend new product features for our internal web app utilizing a modern tech stack composed of Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, and Vercel.
Build, test, and maintain robust, production-grade data pipelines and automated integrations between core revenue engines like Salesforce and Gong.
Partner directly with Customer Growth & Success (CGS) stakeholders across SDR, AE, AM, and CSM teams to translate their daily business pain points into an actionable engineering roadmap.
Evaluate, refine, and operationalize LLM prompts, open-source AI frameworks, and third-party tools to optimize the validity and actionability of output data.
Document foundational technical architecture decisions and write clear operational playbooks so that your standalone systems can be easily maintained by the broader team over time.
Coordinate periodically with data engineering, security, and the Enterprise Apps team to ensure internal tooling integrates seamlessly with global corporate infrastructure.
Own the deployment and monitoring of features from development through production, ensuring high availability and performance standards are met.
Implement safe write patterns and idempotent sync designs when interfacing with critical systems of record like Salesforce.
Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT to accelerate the delivery of internal tools and prototypes.
Identify and resolve production issues independently, maintaining a high quality bar without direct supervision.
Gather requirements from revenue operations teams and convert them into technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
Maintain a clear roadmap that balances quick wins with strategic, long-term infrastructure improvements.
Ensure that all technical solutions adhere to security and compliance standards relevant to handling customer data.
Continuously look for opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational overhead for GTM teams.
Requirements
You bring hands-on experience building and shipping production software on modern stacks like Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React/Next.js, or similar for multiple years.
You have a history of integrating with a CRM as a system of record (Salesforce is strongly preferred), including implementing safe write patterns, idempotent sync design, and architecting around platform API limits.
You have owned a production data pipeline from start to finish, including instrumentation for monitoring, alerting, and handling failure recovery.
You apply practical architecture experience on lean Backend-as-a-Service and modern hosting platforms such as Supabase, Firebase, Vercel, Railway, and Render, with direct Supabase experience strongly preferred.
You use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT as part of a normal shipping workflow.
You communicate clearly, turning ambiguous business requests into technical scope, presenting solutions to non-technical stakeholders, and sequencing or pushing back on competing asks.
You operate comfortably as the sole engineer on a system, owning prioritization, quality bar, and production issues without a team to fall back on.
You have built or extended internal tooling for revenue, sales operations, or customer success teams, which is a significant plus.
You have prior experience in a fast-scaling B2B SaaS business, which is also a plus.
You are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
You possess a strong understanding of data modeling and database design, particularly when working with relational databases and time-series data.
You are disciplined in your approach to testing, ensuring that critical paths are validated before deployment to production.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly based on business needs.
You have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
You are proactive in identifying potential risks and dependencies before they impact the delivery of a solution.
You demonstrate a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code that can be easily understood by other engineers.
Nice to have
Your background gives a unique perspective that adds value at Jobboards even when not fully aligned with listed qualifications.
Practical notes
You must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; roles may be eligible for stock options, bonuses, and commissions per plan terms.
