FP&A Analyst
Job description
FP&A Analyst at Jobboards.
About the role
FP&A Analyst Opportunity at Jobboards
Jobboards seeks an FP&A Analyst to join its Revenue team, a role dedicated to ensuring hiring functions effectively for everyone. The company's mission centers on building a workplace that values collaboration, inclusivity, and transparent communication. This position offers the chance to solve complex problems alongside skilled professionals while contributing directly to the organization's strategic goals.
The Revenue FP&A Analyst is responsible for owning the day-to-day forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis for Sales and RevOps headcount and operating expenses. This role serves as a critical link between financial data and business decisions, shaping the understanding of Customer Growth & Success (CGS) performance. The analyst connects headcount and expense assumptions directly to topline results, ensuring that resource allocation is grounded in reliable financial insights. Success in this position requires a focus on executional excellence in financial modeling, headcount tracking, and routine reporting.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining driver-based financial models and updating monthly forecasts. The role involves preparing and refreshing monthly and quarterly headcount and OpEx reporting for GTM leadership. These reports must clearly explain variance drivers, risks, and opportunities. The analyst will support revenue and ARR forecasting by linking headcount and expense assumptions to capacity and performance outcomes. Collaboration with Sales, RevOps, Accounting, Procurement, and other FP&A teams is essential to align hiring plans, expense forecasts, and actuals. The position also requires proactively surfacing data-driven scenarios related to hiring timing and program tradeoffs to guide strategic resource decisions. Additional projects and evolving responsibilities will be assigned as business needs demand.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys navigating financial datasets and building clean, actionable models to explain complex variance drivers. A collaborative business partner mindset is essential, as the role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on forecasts and actuals. Clear communication skills are necessary to distill detailed headcount and expense data into narratives that are accessible to non-finance stakeholders. The candidate should be a continuous improver, consistently seeking opportunities to streamline repetitive workflows and thoughtfully integrate modern AI tools to enhance efficiency.
To qualify, candidates must have 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role. Strong financial modeling and Excel/Sheets skills are required, with specific experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Candidates should be comfortable working with headcount and OpEx data to integrate HR snapshots, hiring plans, and expense actuals into a coherent forecast. A demonstrated interest in experimenting with AI tools and incorporating them into daily workflows is expected. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for conveying insights to non-finance partners.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field is required. Direct experience in SaaS or recurring revenue environments is also valuable. While not mandatory, comfort using data to question routines and propose thoughtful improvements to workflows is a distinct advantage.
The position is based remotely, with flexibility for candidates across the United States. The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $130,000 to $150,000 per year. Candidates are encouraged to confirm specific details regarding the role on the official application page. This role represents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization that values growth, innovation, and collaboration.
