About the role
You will own the end to end product strategy and execution for AI initiatives within the Singapore government public sector under the guidance of GovTech. You will partner deeply with MOE as the primary customer to design, deliver, and scale AI enhanced learning solutions that are pedagogically sound and technically robust. This role demands fluent collaboration across curriculum specialists, technology teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure responsible and impactful use of data science and artificial intelligence. You will translate complex educational needs into clear product requirements while balancing feasibility, scalability, and compliance. Your work will directly support Singapore's Smart Nation vision and the delivery of practical tools that improve language learning outcomes for students. You will drive structured implementation, data informed decision making, and continuous evaluation across the product lifecycle.

What you'll do
Coordinate with curriculum specialists to co develop AI and EdTech initiatives that are grounded in sound pedagogy and aligned with Mother Tongue Language learning goals.
Translate learning objectives into clear product requirements while balancing feasibility, scalability, and resource constraints for MOE.
Develop standardized evaluation frameworks to assess initiatives across both pedagogical effectiveness and technical performance dimensions.
Establish clear processes for procurement, development, piloting, implementation, and scaling of AI enhanced learning tools within schools.
Act as the key product liaison between the Mother Tongue Languages Branch, DXD, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with technical experts to align system architecture, AI models, integration, and compliance requirements with educational outcomes.
Shape product direction by contributing strategic input and ensuring alignment across technical, pedagogical, and user needs.
Translate product and curriculum requirements into detailed technical specifications to inform procurement and vendor deliverables.
Oversee project execution, including milestone planning, timelines, budgeting, and proactive risk mitigation for AI education programmes.
Manage procurement and contract administration for AI and EdTech initiatives in collaboration with MOE stakeholders and relevant authorities.
Coordinate day to day delivery across internal teams and vendors to ensure timely, high quality implementation of AI solutions in schools.
Support the planning, execution, and analysis of pilot initiatives to generate evidence based insights for decision making.
Develop robust evaluation frameworks to measure impact and guide decisions on scaling successful AI education solutions.
Synthesise feedback from pilots and stakeholders into actionable insights that strengthen future deployments and enhancements.
Facilitate effective communication between curriculum teams, product and technical teams, and external partners throughout the programme.
Present updates and recommendations to senior management to secure alignment, support, and informed decision making.
Manage expectations, align stakeholders, and foster collaborative relationships to ensure smooth implementation of AI initiatives.
Champion responsible and ethical use of AI in education, ensuring solutions respect student needs and regulatory considerations.
Leverage data and evidence to prioritise features, improvements, and investments in AI education tools.
Drive continuous improvement by iterating on products based on evaluation findings, user feedback, and evolving policy contexts.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor degree or higher with 8+ years of relevant professional experience in product management, public sector technology, or education technology.
You demonstrate a strong track record of delivering complex technology enabled initiatives in a regulated public sector environment.
You have substantial experience working with data science, artificial intelligence, or emerging technology programmes in a government or similar institutional context.
You show proven ability to manage cross functional teams, coordinate vendors, and align diverse stakeholders around shared objectives.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical audiences such as curriculum specialists and senior leadership.
You are comfortable working with structured implementation frameworks, risk management processes, and compliance requirements relevant to public sector procurement.
You have experience developing evaluation frameworks and using data to inform product decisions in complex, mission critical environments.
You exhibit strong ownership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous, and evolving policy landscape.
