About the role
You will own the end to end product management for a suite of products designed to strengthen career health and support better training and career decisions for Singaporeans. You will partner closely with the Skills and Workforce Development Agency to define the product vision and strategy that puts citizens and businesses at the heart of delivery. You will lead discovery, experimentation, and user advocacy to ensure the solutions meet real user needs and policy intent. You will drive execution through cross functional collaboration across policy, operations, and technology teams. You will balance new capability development with the migration of reusable components and maintenance of existing tools. You will actively uncover opportunities to leverage AI to enhance team and organizational capabilities in navigating the fast changing job market.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop the product vision, strategy for SWDA's suite of products for individuals, with buy-in from senior stakeholders.
- Galvanise actions from internal stakeholders (policy, operations, technology) and individuals (actual users of products) to execute the product strategy.
- Lead a team of product managers, designers and software engineers to rapidly discover problems through user research and user testing.
- Drive user advocacy by designing a great user experience and executing a robust go to market strategy.
- Define and track appropriate metrics to measure success and support product decisions.
- Balance between development of new capabilities, migration of re usable components, and maintenance of existing tools, while ensuring stakeholder alignment and operational continuity.
- Actively uncover opportunities to leverage AI to enhance the team's and organisation's capabilities and users' experience in navigating the fast changing job market.
- Translate complex policy and user needs into clear product requirements and prioritize the backlog accordingly.
- Partner with data analysts to validate hypotheses and refine the product based on evidence.
- Conduct regular stakeholder reviews and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies transparently.
- Prototype minimum viable solutions to de risk assumptions before committing to full development.
- Ensure delivery of incremental releases that are reliable, usable, and aligned with user needs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, with proven success driving large scale transformation of complex digital initiatives (consumer facing or enterprise level systems preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in managing products within a statutory board or government agency environment.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and ability to use metrics to drive product decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills across senior leadership and cross functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead and grow a team of product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Deep empathy for users and a structured approach to discovering and validating user needs.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate vision, strategy, and trade offs.
- Commitment to Agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
