About the role
You own the day-to-day execution and strategic optimization of the Dr. Gundry Podcast and Forever Young YouTube channels as a key support to the editorial leadership. You collaborate directly with the freelance editing team to review and approve 3 to 4 YouTube videos each week, ensuring content quality and timely publication. You curate high-performing clips for Instagram and TikTok to extend the reach of long-form content and engage new audiences. You maintain and update the podcast schedule calendar to align precisely with the YouTube publishing timeline and content milestones. You write compelling podcast advertisements that support sponsor goals and integrate seamlessly into episode flows. You synthesize multiple videos on a single topic into cohesive mash-up episodes that tell a unified story and maximize viewer retention. You provide support for other PR and marketing initiatives as they arise, demonstrating flexibility across teams. You contribute ideas that help elevate the channel's creative direction while adhering to brand standards.

Optimize content workflows for the Dr. Gundry Podcast and Forever Young YouTube channels with a focus on consistency and scalability.
Organize raw footage and editorial assets in collaboration with the freelance editing team to streamline the production pipeline.
Own the review process for 3 to 4 YouTube videos per week, providing clear notes and direction to ensure quality standards.
Curate short-form clips for Instagram and TikTok that highlight key moments and drive traffic back to long-form content.
Update and maintain the podcast schedule calendar to reflect upcoming episodes and align with YouTube publishing plans.
Write podcast advertisements that communicate sponsor messages clearly while resonating with the audience.
Curate mash-up episodes that combine 3 to 4 videos on a shared topic into a single, cohesive narrative.
Support other PR and marketing projects as needed, contributing to cross-channel campaigns and promotional efforts.
Monitor content performance and surface insights that inform future editorial decisions and content themes.
Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all published video and audio materials.
Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and content launches are executed smoothly.
Help maintain documentation for processes and best practices to support continuity and training.
Provide backup coverage for routine publishing tasks during planned absences or peak periods.
Communicate regularly with the editorial and production teams to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
Contribute to a positive and productive remote work environment through proactive communication and reliability.
Requirements
You must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail in every task you perform.
You must be able to work effectively within a team environment and also manage responsibilities independently when required.
You must demonstrate a strong eye for curating content that captures attention and drives engagement across social platforms.
You must have excellent project management abilities, including organizational skills and the capacity to track multiple deadlines.
You must be self-motivated, deadline-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks with minimal direct supervision.
You must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and adaptability is essential.
You must show strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills when coordinating with freelancers and cross-functional partners.
You must have some experience or familiarity with YouTube platforms, even if gained through personal use or academic projects.
Experience producing reels for Instagram is desired but not required for this role.
You must hold a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational requirement.
You must be currently enrolled in or have completed undergraduate course work in Communications, Broadcasting / Film, or Journalism.
You must be available to start on September 14th and commit to the full program duration through December 10th.
You must be able to work a consistent part-time schedule of 25 to 29 hours per week throughout the internship period.
You must comply with all company policies and procedures as they apply to remote workers and content contributors.
You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements for this internship position.
Nice to have
Any prior experience with YouTube analytics and basic understanding of content performance metrics.
Familiarity with video editing terminology and workflow expectations in a production environment.
A portfolio or examples of curated social media content, including Instagram and TikTok clips.
Previous participation in campus organizations, student media, or remote collaboration projects.
Practical notes
This is a remote internship with no in-office requirement.
The program runs from September 14th to December 10th.
The position offers part-time hours between 25 and 29 per week.
No travel is required, and no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
