About the role
This role owns the creation and optimization of video content that drives audience engagement and conversion on key social platforms. You will edit and export both short-form and long-form videos tailored for paid social campaigns, ensuring each cut aligns with performance insights. You will shoot original footage using iPhone and DSLR equipment to produce high-impact thumb stoppers that capture attention within seconds. You will analyze video performance data to iterate quickly and make data-driven adjustments to creative. You will craft multiple edit variations from existing footage to test what resonates best with target audiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to refine concepts and optimize creative assets for maximum impact. You will manage shifting priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines without compromising quality. You will help elevate brand storytelling and aesthetic consistency across videos of varying lengths, both in the edit and on set.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Edit and export both short-form and long-form videos for various platforms, including paid ads on social media.
- Shoot footage on iPhone and DSLR cameras to be used for thumb stoppers that stop the scroll.
- Analyze video performance data and make adjustments accordingly to improve results.
- Create multiple edit variations from existing footage based on performance data to identify top performers.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to optimize creatives through feedback and iterative testing.
- Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Help craft brand-focused storytelling and elevate aesthetic across all video content, regardless of video length.
- Assist in managing the publishing process to ensure content is optimized for each platform's requirements.
- Support the video content creation team in maintaining consistent quality and timely delivery of assets.
- Translate creative direction into technically sound edits that align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience that demonstrates foundational knowledge and maturity.
- 1 year of experience video editing using Adobe Premiere to prove technical capability and efficiency.
- Good understanding of video trends on social platforms to inform creative decisions and timing.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere; After Effects knowledge is a plus for more advanced edits and animations.
- Basic Google Docs experience for clear communication and collaborative note taking.
- 1 year of experience video editing in a Marketing environment to understand campaign constraints and goals.
- Social Media data analysis aptitude to interpret performance metrics and guide edits.
- Google Sheets or Google Docs data entry experience to help track and organize insights.
- Color grading and audio mixing skills as a preferred enhancement for production value.
- Experience editing User Generated Content or homemade video content into short ads to demonstrate versatility.

Practical notes
This is a hybrid role based in Woodland Hills, California. The program runs from September 14th to December 10th. The schedule and any travel expectations will be defined in coordination with the hiring team.
