Director, Organic Growth & AI Visibility
Job description
About the role
Where A-Players Thrive
We are an employee-owned, vertically-integrated builder of prominent health and wellness brands in America. Our organization employs over one thousand team members across several companies. We produce best-in-class products that improve health and happiness globally. Our creative content educates consumers on making smarter health decisions, and the brands we own generate more than six hundred million dollars in revenue annually. Individuals interested in our mission can learn more about our brands through the designated information page.
We are currently seeking a Director, Organic Growth & AI Visibility to join our team. This position operates in a hybrid capacity from our Woodland Hills, California location.
The Director of Organic Growth & AI Visibility will lead all organic visibility and earned media initiatives for the Golden Hippo wellness portfolio. Accountability spans search engine optimization, AI and answer engine visibility, content strategy, public relations, and organic social media channels. The director will establish and manage the centralized organic growth strategy, ensuring cohesive execution across all owned brands.
Core Responsibilities
The director will architect and lead the implementation of a centralized organic growth roadmap for the entire Golden Hippo brand portfolio. This involves defining cross-channel operating models that effectively connect high-authority brand storytelling with rigorous technical performance standards. Alignment among Brand, Creative, Product Marketing, Performance, and Data teams is essential through shared processes and key performance indicators.
A primary focus will be the evolution from traditional SEO practices to comprehensive Entity-Based Optimization. This ensures our experts and brands are recognized as primary authorities within Google's Knowledge Graph. The director will build a specific roadmap for visibility across AI-driven interfaces, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google Search Generative Experience. Implementation of advanced structured data and schema strategies will be central to maximizing machine readability and dominating featured snippets and AI-generated answers.
The director will identify, audit, and deploy AI tools to modernize the content lifecycle across editorial, multimedia, and modular formats. Development of automated workflows will transform long-form content into high-performing modular assets. Governance, accuracy, and brand alignment will be owned across all organic content initiatives.
In the video domain, the director will serve as the high-level strategist for existing YouTube teams. This includes aligning their content roadmaps with broader brand growth objectives and SEO initiatives. The role will bridge the gap between YouTube and other organic channels, ensuring "Hero" video content is systematically repurposed into high-authority SEO articles and public relations assets. Support for maximizing Video SEO and "Short-to-Long" funnel strategies will increase channel authority and reach. Unified metrics will be defined to track how video content contributes to the total "Halo Effect" of brand search visibility and organic revenue.
The director will partner with the PR team to synchronize media outreach with SEO "Entity" strategies. This ensures all earned coverage builds the founders' E-E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness). AI-backed sentiment and attribution tools will be implemented to shift reporting from simple impressions to measurable brand-authority impact. Social platform strategies will be synced with the broader organic content cycle to ensure a unified brand voice across all discovery interfaces. AI workflows for trend discovery and creative scaling will be developed to lift engagement and in-app search visibility on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram without increasing manual overhead.
Defining and tracking unified KPIs that prove the value of organic efforts will focus on share of voice, sentiment, and organic-to-conversion attribution. Cross-channel dashboards will be built to visualize the "Halo Effect" of initiatives and programs on direct search volume and overall brand health. The director will lead testing and optimization across all organic touchpoints.
Qualifications
The candidate will own cross-brand organic strategy for a portfolio within the health and wellness sector. A deep understanding of entity-based SEO and structuring content for answer engines is required. Proficiency in implementing schema and structured data to improve machine readability is essential. Experience governing accuracy and E-E-A-T within content workflows is mandatory. The ability to analyze unified KPIs that connect organic performance to business outcomes is critical.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a salary range of one hundred forty thousand dollars to one hundred seventy thousand dollars annually. The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule based in Woodland Hills, California.
