Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with Gmining Ventures' goals and values, ensuring a harmonious workplace.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on various workplace issues.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances and complaints, ensuring a fair and impartial process while maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with management to address employee performance issues, providing coaching and support to enhance productivity and morale.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees and management on topics such as conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze employee engagement metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement to enhance workplace culture.
- Work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, minimizing legal risks for the organization.
- Develop and maintain employee handbooks and policy manuals, ensuring that all documentation is up to date and accessible to staff.
- Promote a positive organizational culture by organizing employee recognition programs and team-building activities.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management, fostering open communication and trust within the organization.
- Assist in the development of onboarding programs that effectively integrate new employees into the company culture.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in employee relations, applying this knowledge to improve organizational processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or a similar role, preferably within the mining or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and mediation, with a track record of successfully managing employee grievances.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to have
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience in the mining industry or a similar field is highly desirable.
