What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive analytical reviews of financial statements and related disclosures to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of potential risk or opportunity.
Lead the development and implementation of detailed due diligence checklists, ensuring all relevant areas are thoroughly examined and documented.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, audit, and advisory professionals, to synthesize information and deliver cohesive, client-ready insights.
Design and execute testing procedures to validate the accuracy and completeness of financial data, providing assurance on the reliability of information used in transaction decisions.
Prepare clear, concise, and technically sound memoranda and presentations that communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Partner with clients to interpret complex financial information, translating technical details into actionable strategies that support their transaction objectives.
Monitor and assess client financial performance against benchmarks and projections, identifying areas for improvement or further investigation.
Spearhead the coordination of transaction timelines, managing multiple deadlines and dependencies to ensure seamless progress from initiation to completion.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to addressing their specific needs and concerns.
Contribute to the growth and development of the TAS team by mentoring junior staff, sharing knowledge, and promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Apply advanced problem-solving skills to address emerging issues, offering innovative solutions that enhance the overall transaction process and client experience.
Leverage technology and data analytics tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy of transaction-related analyses.
Support the preparation of transaction-related documentation, ensuring all materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with regulatory and client requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert within the TAS practice, staying current with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes that impact transaction advisory services.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
You must have a proven track record of at least five years of progressive experience in transaction advisory, due diligence, or a related financial advisory role.
Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising junior staff is essential, with a history of providing guidance, feedback, and professional development.
You should have extensive experience in conducting financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and trend analysis for complex entities.
A strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to transaction advisory is required.
You must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data manipulation techniques.
Experience with data analytics tools or enterprise software systems is highly relevant and will be considered a significant advantage.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment is critical to success in this role.
