About the role
The role focuses on supporting the finance team with essential accounting tasks. You will enter invoices, payments, journal entries, and other accounting data into the appropriate systems. You will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure smooth transactional flow. You will prepare and maintain accounting records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance. You will reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts to verify that transactions are posted correctly. You will assist with billing, cash applications, and payment processing activities as required. You will support month-end and year-end close activities to help meet reporting deadlines. You will research and resolve basic accounting discrepancies to maintain clean records. You will respond to vendor and internal accounting inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
- You need an Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- You need previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative roles preferred.
- You need a basic understanding of accounting principles and standard practices.
- You need proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily tasks.
- You need strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy to maintain reliable records.
- You need excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- You need the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial and personal information.
- You need strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners.
- You need a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.
