What you'll do
Conduct in-depth analysis of complex financial data to identify tax planning opportunities and ensure regulatory compliance for a diverse client portfolio.
Lead the preparation and review of high-level corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns, applying advanced technical judgment to resolve intricate issues.
Supervise, review, and mentor junior tax staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional development to elevate the entire team's performance.
Interpret evolving federal, state, and local tax legislation, translating new regulations into practical strategies that mitigate client risk and optimize outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure the timely completion of tax engagements within established deadlines.
Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures to enhance the accuracy and productivity of the tax preparation process.
Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear, concise, and advisory manner, building trust and providing actionable recommendations.

Contribute to the firm's knowledge management initiatives by documenting procedures and sharing insights to promote continuous improvement.

Participate in client planning sessions to provide strategic guidance on entity selection, compensation planning, and succession strategies.
Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience combined with professional certification such as CPA.
Candidates must have a proven track record of at least five years of progressive experience in public accounting, with increasing responsibility in tax preparation and supervision.
A current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility to obtain one is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in individual and corporate tax law, including complex areas such as international taxation and estate planning.
Prospective team members must have a history of meeting strict deadlines and managing multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously without compromising quality.
You must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and generally accepted accounting standards as they relate to tax compliance and reporting.
