The Opportunity and Strategic Role

We are seeking a Principal or Partner to join our Forensic Services practice. This is a senior-level leadership position for a professional or team of professionals currently within a consulting firm or accounting practice. The primary responsibility for this role is to generate and lead high-stakes litigation support engagements and complex forensic investigations. The successful candidate will advise clients on critical issues such as fraud risk mitigation and enhancements to internal controls. Success in this position requires the ability to actively develop new business within the Forensic Services sector, lead all aspects of client relationship development and management, oversee multi-disciplinary engagement teams, and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required. The role demands a dual focus: deep technical forensic expertise and superior client-facing capabilities. The candidate will be a key business leader in the forensic services industry, expected to contribute to thought leadership, drive technology initiatives, and develop and mentor internal staff. This position provides a clear trajectory toward partnership or offers a direct admission path to partner, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and existing book of business.

Core Responsibilities

The Principal/Partner will own the end-to-end strategy for major forensic cases, from initial intake through the final submission in a court of law. Teams will depend on this leader's judgment to navigate complex investigations and to proactively shape client expectations. A critical function is the conversion of ambiguous, high-pressure problems into clear, actionable paths that protect and preserve client value.

Specific duties include designing and implementing intake workflows that effectively distinguish viable engagements from exploratory inquiries. The role requires constructing detailed investigation roadmaps that coordinate the efforts of various specialists and align critical timeline milestones. The Principal/Partner will be responsible for reviewing all evidentiary materials and meticulously documenting investigative methods to ensure that all conclusions can withstand rigorous scrutiny. A key outcome of this position is the delivery of court-ready reports that are perfectly aligned with the client's legal strategy and are robust enough to withstand opposing challenges.

The leader will partner directly with legal teams to align case narratives, refine core themes, and proactively manage stakeholder concerns. Translating highly complex financial and investigative findings into clear, compelling narratives for judges, juries, and executive audiences is an essential daily task. also, this role involves championing rigorous quality control measures that reduce the need for rework and significantly strengthen confidence in all deliverables. The Principal/Partner will also mentor emerging analysts, instructing them on professional methods, ethical standards, and the appropriate professional presence required in contentious settings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this Principal/Partner role, candidates must hold active credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). A minimum of three years of demonstrable experience in forensic accounting or litigation support is mandatory. The candidate must possess a proven track record of successfully handling complex engagements involving fraud, financial misstatements, or commercial disputes. A comprehensive understanding of court procedures, deposition preparation techniques, and formal report presentation standards is essential. The ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and professionally with attorneys, corporate executives, and technical specialists is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.

Technology and Professional Development

While not mandatory, experience with a range of data analysis tools, visualization platforms, and enterprise software suites is considered a significant advantage.
