Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate within the Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team. This role focuses on the review of month end close deliverables. Responsibilities include oversight on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for a portfolio of clients. The CAAS practice operates within Ghj's larger Advisory function. It provides broad exposure to forward thinking services, exciting clients, and a rewarding professional environment.
Compensation and Location
The position is based in Los Angeles, California, with a hybrid work model. The compensation package for 2025 ranges from 85,000 to 95,000 USD.
Key Responsibilities
You will orchestrate intake procedures to capture accurate data before any processing begins. This initial step ensures a solid foundation for all subsequent work.
You will construct journal entries and reconciliations while applying firm methodology under tight timelines. Precision and adherence to standards are essential in this work.
You will examine monthly close outputs to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. This review is critical for ensuring quality.
You will ship review reports that communicate findings clearly to client stakeholders. Effective communication supports transparency and understanding.
You will partner with colleagues to design process improvements that strengthen advisory quality. Collaborative efforts drive innovation and efficiency.
You will coordinate schedules with internal teams so that deliverables align with client expectations. Managing timelines is a key part of this role.
You will maintain technical proficiency in relevant software to support efficient workflow execution. Tool mastery enables consistent and reliable output.
You will mentor junior staff on best practices that uphold quality and independence. Developing team members is a core aspect of this position.
Requirements
You hold at least three years of post qualification advisory experience in public practice or related fields. This background provides necessary context.
You can handle multiple client files while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Managing competing priorities is required.
You understand US generally accepted accounting principles and reporting frameworks. Technical knowledge is non-negotiable.
You communicate professionally with clients through written and verbal exchanges. Clear communication builds trust.
You travel as needed to support client locations and project requirements. Flexibility in work locations is part of the job.
