You will be the steward of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position involves managing the complete financial close process at monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals with precision and timeliness. The role demands the preparation and analysis of financial statements in strict accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Furthermore, you will lead continuous process improvements and optimize the enterprise resource planning system to enhance efficiency. What you'll do
Direct and manage the comprehensive scope of accounting operations, encompassing general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable processing, accounts payable management, and fixed asset administration.
Oversee the meticulous execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting deliverables.
Analyze and prepare financial statements with rigorous adherence to GAAP standards, ensuring transparency and reliability of financial data.
Manage complex cost accounting functions, including the administration of standard costing methodologies, variance analysis, and precise inventory valuation.
Collaborate with operations leadership to conduct in-depth analysis of production costs, profit margins, and key efficiency metrics to inform strategic decisions.
Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive budgets, financial forecasts, and sophisticated financial models to support organizational planning.
Ensure unwavering compliance with established internal control frameworks, corporate policies, and all relevant external regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and oversee the audit process, acting as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external audit firms to ensure seamless execution.
Champion and drive process improvements focused on streamlining workflows and optimizing the performance of the ERP system for scalability.
Supervise, mentor, and provide career development guidance to the accounting department staff to build capability and ensure operational continuity.
Spearhead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enhancements to the ERP system to improve data integrity and reporting automation.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional departments to align accounting strategies with business objectives.
Implement rigorous financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Lead the preparation of management reporting packages that provide clear, concise, and insightful analysis to support executive decision-making.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field as the foundational credential for this role.
You are required to have a minimum of 7 years of cumulative accounting experience, with a mandatory minimum of 2 years spent in a manufacturing environment to ensure contextual relevance.
A strong, demonstrable knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management techniques is an absolute prerequisite for success in this position.
Proficiency in the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is essential, with specific experience in platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite being highly valued.
You must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to dissect complex financial data and derive meaningful conclusions for strategic planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with executive leadership, department heads, and external audit partners.
