About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for emerging applications within the GenScript/ProBio portfolio, defining a clear product vision that aligns with unmet customer needs and scientific innovation. You will partner closely with discovery scientists, platform teams, and commercial stakeholders to identify high-value use cases for biologics discovery, antibody workflows, and life science tools. You will translate early market signals and customer pain points into concrete product concepts, pilot programs, and scalable go-to-market strategies. You will prioritize opportunities across AIDD, high-throughput screening, workflow automation, and data-driven discovery platforms to maximize impact. You will serve as the primary product voice for this portfolio, balancing scientific depth with business rigor when shaping requirements and success metrics. You will influence cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive product experiences that reinforce customer trust and long-term adoption. You will continuously evaluate external trends and competitive dynamics to ensure the portfolio remains at the forefront of biotechnology and research innovation.

What you'll do
Define and own the product roadmap for emerging applications, ensuring alignment with GenScript/ProBio's strategic priorities and customer outcomes.
Conduct in-depth customer discovery and market analysis to uncover pain points, use cases, and opportunity size for new product concepts in biologics and life science workflows.
Translate ambiguous market signals into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria while managing trade-offs in scope and timelines.
Collaborate with R&D, commercial, operations, marketing, and external partners to design, pilot, and scale new application offerings.
Assess and prioritize opportunities in AIDD, high-throughput screening, workflow automation, assay development, and laboratory automation to drive adoption.
Develop business cases, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies that demonstrate clear ROI for customers in life science tools and services.
Partner with sales and customer success teams to enable effective commercialization, positioning, and customer outreach for new products.
Monitor product performance, usage metrics, and customer feedback to inform iterative improvements and future investment decisions.
Represent product perspectives in cross-functional discussions, balancing scientific rigor, commercial viability, and operational feasibility.
Champion experimentation and learning in early-stage, ambiguous business areas to accelerate evidence-based product decisions.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in biologics discovery, antibody discovery, protein workflows, or research service business, with exposure to CRO/CDMO environments.
Show familiarity with life science tools, high-throughput screening, workflow automation, assay workflows, or data-driven discovery approaches.
Possess strong product sense and proven customer discovery skills, with a track record of translating customer needs into actionable product concepts.
Comfortable operating in fast-changing, early-stage, and ambiguous business environments while maintaining clarity and direction.
Able to synthesize complex customer, market, and technical information into clear business cases and product requirements for diverse stakeholders.
Collaboration-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across R&D, commercial, operations, marketing, and external partners.
Excellent analytical thinker and communicator, capable of structured problem-solving and cross-functional influence without direct authority.
Demonstrated experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, or technology-forward life science customers in relevant application areas.
Preferred fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese to engage broader customer and partner networks.
Background in product management, product marketing, business development, or technical commercial roles within life science tools or biotech services.
Nice to have
Exposure to AIDD platforms, laboratory automation, and assay development workflows that can inform product strategy.
Experience with technology-enabled research platforms, data-driven discovery applications, and emerging scientific tooling.
Track record of partnering with pharma, biotech, or technology-forward life science customers to deliver impactful solutions.

This role is based in the United States and requires reliable in-country work authorization. No specific working hours are prescribed, allowing flexibility to support global collaboration.
