What you'll do

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define design requirements and specifications for new features and enhancements.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design concepts, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of the design process.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
• Develop and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all products and platforms, enhancing the overall user experience.
• Work closely with developers during the implementation phase to ensure that designs are executed accurately and meet quality standards.
• Analyze user feedback and product metrics to iterate on designs and improve usability and engagement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and keep our products competitive.
• Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the design team.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization, helping to educate stakeholders on the importance of design in product development.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints.
• Document design processes and decisions to create a knowledge base that can be referenced by the team in future projects.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in product design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and process.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including user research, usability testing, and interaction design.
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, as it will aid in communication with developers.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an Agile development environment, contributing to iterative design processes.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusivity in design.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to assess user behavior and inform design decisions.
• Previous experience in a SaaS company or a startup environment is advantageous.
• A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
