What you'll do

• Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional user interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, implementing best practices in performance tuning and code optimization.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications, working to resolve them efficiently while minimizing user impact.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new tools and practices into the development process as appropriate.
• Collaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs, ensuring smooth data flow between frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries that enhance the efficiency of the engineering team.
• Engage in agile development practices, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features.
• Assist in the onboarding and mentoring of junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
• Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in frontend development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a deep understanding of modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for creating user-centric designs and a keen eye for detail in both functionality and aesthetics.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js or Python, enabling better collaboration with backend teams.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Vuex, enhancing application performance and maintainability.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices, ensuring our applications are usable by everyone.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies, such as Jest or Cypress, to ensure code quality and reliability.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
• Experienced with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Trello).
