Quantitative Trader (Associate/VP)
Job description
About the role
You will own the design, deployment, and risk management of quantitative trading strategies executed across on-chain DeFi protocols. This role requires you to build and maintain the risk monitoring systems and capital allocation algorithms that govern our onchain curator program. You will contribute across the full trading lifecycle, bridging algorithmic strategy development with protocol-level market structure and infrastructure. A core part of this position is managing protocol relationships and structuring liquidity agreements that align economic incentives. You will operate at the intersection of algorithmic trading, decentralized finance, and data center infrastructure realities. You are expected to leverage deep on-chain data to iterate on live strategies in response to market microstructure and protocol changes.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design and operate bespoke trading strategies across DeFi protocols, including AMMs, lending markets, perpetuals, and structured products.
Build and maintain risk monitoring systems and capital allocation algorithms for our onchain curator program.
Contribute to quantitative frameworks for position sizing, exposure management, and drawdown controls across DeFi protocols.
Support real-time portfolio risk tracking across chains and venues to ensure timely intervention and compliance.
Identify and exploit structural inefficiencies in on-chain markets, liquidity pools, and token incentive mechanisms.
Assist in the design and negotiation of custom liquidity provision agreements with protocols, DAOs, and ecosystem funds.
Iterate on live strategies based on on-chain data, protocol changes, and market microstructure developments.
Monitor deployed strategies and manage operational incidents across multiple blockchains in a fast-paced environment.
Perform in-depth analysis of on-chain metrics and market data to refine model assumptions and improve edge.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align trading objectives with infrastructure, compliance, and business goals.
Evaluate new protocol launches and token offerings for potential integration into systematic trading frameworks.
Document trading logic, risk controls, and performance attribution to support audits, reviews, and stakeholder reporting.
Contribute to the development of proprietary tools that enhance data ingestion, signal generation, and execution on-chain.
Champion best practices in data integrity, model governance, and transparent performance measurement.
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to smart contract updates, market events, and system incidents as needed.

Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract interactions, and on-chain data reliability.
Proven ability to work with large, high-dimensional data sets and derive actionable signals.
Experience with risk management frameworks, including measurement and control of exposure, liquidity, and concentration.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where assumptions and models are tested against live markets.
Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to operate within a structured on-call rotation and adhere to strict incident response procedures.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred.
