What you'll do

• Lead the development and implementation of quality management systems that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish quality benchmarks and ensure that all products meet or exceed these expectations.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process enhancement.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality assurance practices, emphasizing the importance of quality in every aspect of production.
• Manage non-conformance reports and corrective action plans, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up to prevent recurrence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from clients and regulatory bodies, providing expert guidance and support.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions for enhancing product quality.
• Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for further development.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that incoming materials meet quality standards, conducting supplier audits as necessary.
• Lead cross-functional teams in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to drive results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of implementing quality management systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and metrics.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools, such as Minitab or similar statistical analysis programs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Quality Manager or Quality Engineer (e.g., CQE, CQM).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements specific to the aerospace industry.
• Experience in conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality issues.
