Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter
Job description
About the role
You will own the full underwriting lifecycle for a large and growing portfolio of motor fleet clients, making risk decisions that directly shape our pricing and profitability. You will mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop technical confidence and strong professional judgment. You will significantly contribute to hitting team targets by identifying opportunities, managing complex accounts, and driving forward key performance metrics. You will help unlock growth into new market segments, offering innovative insurance solutions for emerging mobility trends and supporting our ambition to become one of the UK's largest fleet MGAs. Your expertise will directly drive growth and innovation, positioning us at the forefront of the fleet insurance industry through data-led insights and practical solutions. You will work with AI in the underwriting process itself, using it to pull risk data out of submissions and triage cases faster, which leaves your time for the high-level judgement calls that demand an experienced underwriter. You will identify and surface to our Underwriting Manager areas where we can improve our policy wording and coverage to better serve our clients and remain competitively robust. You will follow rapidly evolving market trends, continuously refurbishing your knowledge of cutting-edge products and services in the Motor Fleet space to ensure our offerings remain relevant and compelling.
