Ops Facilitator - Pilot Support Team

About the role

The owns the end-to-end readiness of teleoperation data collection sessions. This role ensures that humanoid robot pilots proceed without interruption by preparing environments and validating hardware before each shift. The hire is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the data collection workflow when robots are active on the floor. They sort, assign, and stage pilot teleoperation kits while tracking inventory across all shifts to prevent discrepancies. This position coordinates closely with shift leads to guarantee tools, space, and equipment are available at the correct time. The individual will identify and flag component faults early to prevent issues from impacting the data collection schedule. Additional duties include supporting teardown procedures between shifts and resetting workspaces to maintain efficiency. The role performs support for breakdown schedules to ensure units are stored and serviced correctly within established procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare the operational environment each day to ensure pilot activities proceed safely and on schedule for teleoperation data sessions.
• Validate the operational status of hardware and equipment through pre-shift checks before humanoid robots begin active runs.
• Sort, assign, and stage pilot teleoperation kits while tracking and maintaining accurate inventory across all operational shifts.
• Coordinate with shift leads to guarantee that every pilot has the necessary tools, space, and robot availability at the precise required time.
• Identify and flag component faults early through systematic inspection to prevent issues from impacting the data collection schedule.

• Follow established equipment and robot maintenance procedures to ensure all hardware operates safely and correctly during pilot activities.
• Provide support for breakdown schedules to ensure units are stored, transported, and serviced correctly according to organizational standards.
• Track material usage and discrepancies to maintain accurate records for inventory management and future planning.
• Communicate clearly and frequently with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that may affect pilot readiness or data quality.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and workflow adjustments in the fast-paced, hands-on environment of the pilot support team.
• Maintain detailed notes and logs of all activities, observations, and anomalies encountered during pilot support operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes, tools, and workflows used during teleoperation sessions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures at all times while working with robotics hardware and sensitive equipment.

Requirements

• Must be highly organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the operation.
• Must be comfortable standing and moving for eight or more hours per shift during active pilot support.
• Must reliably handle mechanical tools and equipment with precision and care.
• Must move efficiently in fast-paced, hands-on settings while maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Must be capable of learning procedures quickly with minimal supervision when introduced to new workflows.
• Must adapt readily to new hardware and software demands as the robotics platform evolves.
• Must remain calm under pressure and maintain focus during night shifts and variable work schedules.
• Must possess a quick learning curve with a demonstrated aptitude for mechanical or equipment handling tasks.
• Must be available to work the scheduled shifts as required by the operational needs of the Pilot Support Team.
• Must follow instructions precisely and maintain strict adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
