About the role
You will assess tools and material needed for projects and provide feedback to improve designs and create efficiency. You will program, set up, and operate machines and tools with a focus on precision and reliability. You will set up and operate a CNC Lathe with live tooling to handle complex part requirements. You will also set up and operate CNC 3 axis mills for diverse production tasks. You will set up and operate a manual mill and lathe when necessary to support rapid prototyping. You will provide training to individuals who require use of the equipment in the shop, including Engineers and Technicians. You will maintain an open and safe environment where teams can collaborate effectively on demanding schedules. You will document and track workflow to ensure traceability and continuous improvement.

Provide feedback and solutions to improve designs and create efficiency in manufacturing workflows.
Program, set up, and operate machines and tools to meet production specifications and quality standards.
Set up and operate a CNC Lathe with live tooling to manage intricate part geometries and operations.
Set up and operate CNC 3 axis mills for multi-axis machining tasks and high-accuracy requirements.
Set up and operate a manual mill and lathe to support non-routine tasks and quick adjustments.
Provide training to individuals who require use of the equipment in the shop, including Engineers, Technicians, and other relevant staff.
Maintain inventory of supplies and raw materials within the shop to prevent shortages and support continuity.
Maintain an open and safe environment where teams can collaborate effectively and innovate safely.
Document and track workflow using established systems to ensure transparency and traceability.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on machines and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
Adapt to shifting priorities and production demands in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Support cross-functional teams by aligning machining activities with project goals and timelines.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and tooling enhancements.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a related industry is mandatory for this position.
Proficient in CNC lathes and mills is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
Must be able to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment without compromising accuracy.
Ability to tackle problems in which you may not have expert knowledge is essential for success here.
Ability to understand engineering documentation and interpret technical drawings accurately.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Safety conscious, dependable, and maintains a positive attitude even under tight deadlines.
Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards consistently.
Willingness to follow instructions and work within established processes while seeking improvement opportunities.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support safety and efficiency.
