Fictiv is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to manage logistics operations on both domestic and international fronts. This role is pivotal in overseeing the import and export of shipments, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and working closely with various teams to ensure that goods are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

What you'll do

• Oversee the management of international export shipments originating from India to the United States and various other global destinations.
• Facilitate domestic transportation operations and supervise the import processes within India.
• Prepare, examine, and maintain all necessary documentation for imports and exports, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping bills.
• Coordinate bookings and pickups with courier services, freight forwarders, airlines, and transport partners across different transportation modes.
• Monitor cargo transit to ensure deliveries occur on schedule, proactively resolving any shipment delays or logistical issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with customs house agents to ensure seamless customs clearance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Address any shipping escalations, customs delays, or delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with all stakeholders involved.
• Maintain precise records of import/export documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and internal auditing requirements.
• Provide freight quotes, tariff estimates, and analyses of transit times to support costing and operational teams.
• Work in conjunction with internal warehouse teams and third-party logistics partners to ensure efficient processes for receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching goods.
• Analyze delivery performance metrics and transit times, suggesting improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
• Verify freight invoices and assist in tracking and analyzing freight expenditures.
• Build and sustain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport vendors to ensure effective execution of shipments.
• Coordinate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure that shipments are prepared on time and adhere to established schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Quality, Costing, and Finance, to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Support the documentation process before and after shipments, including vendor invoice verification and audit requirements.
• Utilize ERP systems and logistics tools for effective tracking of shipments and management of logistics operations.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions within logistics operations.
• Provide mentorship and operational support to junior logistics coordinators as required.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in international logistics, freight operations, or supply chain coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of India's import/export regulations, customs procedures, and EXIM documentation.
• Experience handling both air and ocean shipments.
• Familiarity with HS code classification, customs duties, valuation, export incentives, country of origin requirements, and free trade agreements.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation vendors.
• Ability to juggle multiple shipments and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of EXIM customs compliance is an added advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tools.
• Additional certifications in supply chain management or logistics.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in ERP systems for logistics management.
• Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Familiarity with logistics tracking tools and software.
