The Account Manager drives revenue growth across strategic accounts within the Factory Automation business at MISUMI Americas. They develop and execute tailored account strategies that align with corporate objectives and market demands. This role requires deep engagement with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, purchasing, and executive leadership to build consultative partnerships. The hire acts as a trusted advisor, helping customers optimize product adoption and solve complex application challenges. They translate customer needs into actionable insights that influence product and service development. The role contributes directly to expanding market share and ensuring long-term, sustainable business growth in the region.

What you'll do
Identify and prioritize strategic target accounts to maximize revenue potential within the Factory Automation segment.
Develop and own comprehensive account plans that outline growth strategies, key initiatives, and measurable success metrics.
Track and analyze pipeline activity, forecasting accuracy, and progress against quarterly and annual goals using CRM tools.
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influential stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and management functions.
Provide expert-level consultative support throughout the entire customer design and purchasing cycles to accelerate product adoption.
Deliver compelling and professional presentations of products, services, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Uncover customer barriers, latent needs, and strategic opportunities while proposing tailored solutions that enhance satisfaction and revenue.
Synthesize and communicate actionable customer insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging market trends to sales leadership and product teams.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and company leadership to support new business development and strategic initiatives.
Apply advanced sales techniques and refine approaches continuously to improve account performance and exceed targets.
Maintain precise and up-to-date records of forecasts, opportunity pipelines, account activity, and stakeholder engagement in the CRM system.
Champion the adoption of best practices in account management to ensure consistent execution and high customer retention rates.
Leverage product knowledge and industry expertise to position MISUMI as a critical partner in solving manufacturing challenges.
Drive alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities to deliver exceptional value and outcomes.
Requirements
Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas in a prior sales or account management role.
Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or industrial marketing.
Bring a minimum of three years of experience in a consultative or enterprise sales environment, preferably within manufacturing or automation.
Show strong capability in building and managing relationships with C-level executives, engineers, and procurement professionals.
Have experience using CRM platforms to manage complex pipelines, forecast accuracy, and stakeholder engagement metrics.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and develop data-driven solutions.
Commit to working within the standard business hours and aligning with team schedules across the Toronto region.
Nice to have
Experience selling factory automation, motion control, or manufacturing component solutions to industrial customers.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM environments, production equipment, or industrial supply chain workflows.
Knowledge of MISUMI product lines and digital manufacturing platforms is advantageous but not required.
Practical notes
This role operates during standard business hours with possible adjustments for cross-regional collaboration.
Travel is primarily limited to the Greater Toronto Area for client meetings and industry events.
