What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end processing of incoming counterparty settlement requests within strict service level agreements, serving as the dedicated point of contact for an assigned portfolio of counterparties and tracking performance against established operational KPIs.
- Coordinate daily with the Trading Desk, Product, and Customer Success teams to align on client servicing expectations, ensuring operational workflows support front-office trading strategies and client deliverables.
- Execute reconciliation of trades, transfers, and inventory positions across diverse internal subsystems and external venues including banking partners, prime brokers, and custodians to maintain accurate books and records.
- Monitor daily inventory requirements driven by settlement obligations, lending, and borrowing activities, liaising directly with the Treasury Management function to optimize capital efficiency and funding.
- Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to provide operational insights that inform the design of pragmatic controls, adapting processes to meet the demands of a shifting global regulatory environment for digital assets.
- Enforce adherence to established trade operations procedures specifically designed to satisfy regulatory compliance standards across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with the Accounting department to guarantee the timely and accurate delivery of trade and settlement data required for financial reporting and audit trails.
- Perform detailed reconciliations between internal ledgers and external counterparty statements to ensure data integrity, promptly identifying, investigating, and resolving breaks by engaging relevant internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reconciliation frameworks, identifying gaps in coverage or robustness and implementing solutions to achieve completeness and automation.
- Support the broader trade operations lifecycle for institutional cryptocurrency trading, gaining exposure to spot, derivatives, and structured product settlement workflows.
- Prioritize and multitask across critical day-to-day operational functions, ensuring high-pressure deadlines are met without compromising accuracy or control standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert resource for internal teams regarding settlement mechanics, counterparty onboarding requirements, and digital asset transfer protocols.
Requirements
- Possess 4 to 8 years of professional experience within a trading firm, hedge fund, investment bank, or similar institutional financial services environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional self-management capabilities, utilizing structured organizational tools such as checklists and progress tracking to manage high-volume workflows independently.
- Proven track record of performing effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure operational settings where accuracy and speed are paramount.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification in any discipline.
- Exhibit a strong desire and aptitude to develop deep expertise in digital assets, including major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and their associated market structures.
- Ability to understand and manage the full lifecycle of institutional trade operations, from execution through to final settlement and reconciliation.
