Cloud Native Technical Project Manager, APJ
Job description
About the role
You will own end-to-end project delivery for Cloud Native and Portworx engagements across the APJ region, acting as the primary technical project lead from kickoff through design, build, and go-live. This role requires you to manage the full project lifecycle for services such as Portworx Enterprise, PX-Backup, Portworx DR, Health Check, and modern virtualization deployments like KubeVirt. You will lead project kickoffs, discovery sessions, and collaborative design phases in close partnership with Advanced Services architects and Cloud Native DevOps engineers. You are expected to apply agile delivery practices, including sprints, backlogs, and iterative releases, to adapt methodology to varied customer and project contexts across diverse markets. You will facilitate design thinking and pair/collaborative development patterns to accelerate solutioning and reduce delivery risk for enterprise customers. You will build and maintain project artifacts such as RAID logs, governance cadences, and detailed stakeholder communications in line with Everpure delivery methodology. You will act as a trusted, technically fluent point of contact, translating technical progress and risk into clear business outcomes for customers across ASEAN, Greater China, Japan, Korea, ANZ, and India.

Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project/Program Leader, with a strong track record of delivering complex, technical projects for enterprise customers. You must also bring at least 10 years of experience running cloud and SDLC-based agile projects, with hands-on experience managing iterative delivery cycles rather than purely waterfall methodologies. A strong technical background in cloud and cloud-native development is essential, including containers, Kubernetes, and modern application platforms such as OpenShift, Portworx, or equivalent cloud-native storage and orchestration technologies. You must demonstrate deep familiarity with infrastructure and platform operations, including Linux, networking, storage, and observability in distributed environments. You must have proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects across regions, navigating complex organizational hierarchies, and aligning diverse teams toward shared delivery objectives. You must be comfortable working within highly matrixed organizations and interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders under tight deadlines and shifting priorities. You must show discipline in following structured project governance while remaining flexible enough to adapt practices to customer-specific constraints and regulatory environments across the APJ region. You must communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, articulating technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences while maintaining credibility with engineering teams.
