Own the end-to-end roadmap for the underwriting engine, coordinating priorities across regions and product lines to align with compliance goals.

Write precise specifications and documentation that enable senior stakeholders across time zones to align without multiple rounds of revision.
Make high-stakes product decisions directly, taking ownership of accuracy, fairness, and speed as measurable outcomes for families and carrier partners.
Evaluate build-vs-buy choices for rules engines, knowledge graphs, ML pipelines, and decisioning systems with technical awareness and pragmatism.
Collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, finance, and data science teams to ensure that rules engines and ML pipelines support fast, accurate underwriting.
Demonstrate patterns of complex domain decision-making involving structured data at scale in regulated domains such as credit, fraud, healthcare, or risk.
Experience building data-heavy decisioning or intelligence platforms in regulated environments is expected as a core requirement for this role.
Choose high-leverage investments inside a vast domain, with clear reasoning for declines and protected focus on initiatives that move the needle.
Operate comfortably within a data-rich, compliance-sensitive context where rules engines and decisioning systems must be reliable and auditable.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is a required entry criterion for this position and must be obtained from an accredited institution.
