About the role
Espositoconstruction is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager specializing in heavy civil projects to join our dynamic team in Ocean Township, New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate seamless project operations and maintain strong relationships.

What you'll do
- Lead the planning and execution of heavy civil projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and environmental projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation, to guide project execution and monitor progress.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure design specifications are met and project goals are achieved.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, assess quality control, and address any issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members, to ensure alignment and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting milestones, challenges, and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Mentor and guide junior project staff, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance.
- Implement best practices in project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
- Utilize project management software and tools to track progress, manage documentation, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to heavy civil projects.
