About the role
You will own the end to end resolution of complex compliance and operational issues within the Registered Plans Deposit Operations team, ensuring every transaction and account follows EQ Bank's strict standards and regulatory requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for credit union and broker partners, owning the communication and documentation for escalated cases while protecting the integrity of client data and trust accounts. You will challenge existing workflows by identifying patterns in customer and institutional inquiries, proposing practical improvements that streamline processes and reduce future risk. You will exercise sound judgment when interpreting banking rules and procedures, making timely decisions that balance regulatory obligations with exceptional customer service. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to investigate anomalies, verify data accuracy, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. You will maintain up to date knowledge of financial regulations and EQ Bank policies, translating these requirements into clear actions for both yourself and your teammates. Investigate and resolve intricate compliance and operational issues across registered plans deposit accounts, determining root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Perform detailed data input and validation in banking systems, ensuring all account movements, flags, and corrections meet accuracy and audit standards.

Monitor account activities and balances, detecting anomalies or patterns that may indicate risk and coordinating with stakeholders to address concerns.
Support quality assurance initiatives by testing controls, verifying process execution, and documenting findings that help strengthen operational integrity.
Collaborate with internal partners to gather information, clarify requirements, and align on solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of deposit operations.
Provide expert problem resolution for escalated cases, balancing technical details with clear explanations that help both internal and external stakeholders understand outcomes.
Champion continuous improvement by proposing practical enhancements to workflows, documentation, and communication practices within the deposit function.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for front line and partner teams, answering questions and guiding them through complex procedures and policy expectations.
Drive consistent execution of EQ Bank policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring that every decision supports sound risk management and client confidence.

Requirements
You must have the right to work in Canada and not require a work permit for this role, as this is a contract position located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
You must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic banking environment.
You must have solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
You must be comfortable working with banking systems, data validation, and compliance related documentation in a regulated financial setting.
You must demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skills, with the capacity to assess situations and make timely, responsible decisions.
You must have a proven track record of owning end to end responsibilities, seeing tasks through completion while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
You must be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, building constructive working relationships across credit unions, brokers, and internal teams.
You must be willing to adhere to EQ Bank's policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring that all activities align with established compliance requirements.
Nice to have
Experience in deposit operations, compliance, or customer service within a Canadian banking or credit union environment.
Knowledge of registered plans and related regulatory considerations in the Canadian financial services sector.
Familiarity with EQ Bank products, digital banking tools, and customer facing processes.
Experience supporting problem resolution and communication with external partners such as credit unions and brokers.
