About the role
Bamboohr is seeking a Vice President, Global Human Resources to lead the organization's worldwide human resources strategy and operations. This senior executive will be responsible for shaping HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support the company's global workforce across all regions. The role reports to the senior leadership team and plays a critical part in driving organizational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement at scale. The Vice President will work closely with business unit leaders to align HR strategy with overall business objectives and ensure a positive workplace culture.

What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of global human resources strategies that align with the company's long-term business goals.
Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and separation processes across international offices.
Partner with senior leadership to advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals distributed across multiple countries and time zones.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs that foster a respectful and inclusive work environment for all employees.
Develop and implement learning and development programs to build internal talent pipelines and support career growth.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and best practices in every jurisdiction where the company operates.
Lead compensation and benefits strategy to attract and retain top talent in a competitive global market.
Champion employee engagement surveys and use insights to improve workplace satisfaction and retention rates.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to manage HR budgets and optimize resource allocation across the organization.
Support the company's merger and integration activities by managing HR due diligence, cultural integration, and workforce transition planning.
Requirements
A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in human resources leadership roles, with at least five years in a senior executive or VP-level position.
Proven track record of managing HR operations across multiple countries and complex, matrixed organizational structures.
Strong understanding of international employment law, labor regulations, and compliance requirements in diverse markets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present strategic recommendations to the C-suite and board of directors.
Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing HR teams in a global context.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Deep knowledge of talent management frameworks, workforce analytics, and HR technology platforms.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in fast-paced, rapidly changing business environments.
Comfortable with frequent domestic and international travel to Bamboohr offices, client sites, and industry conferences throughout the year.
Nice to have
Experience working in the technology, software, or information services industry is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with Bamboohr's product portfolio and business model would be beneficial.
Previous experience managing HR transformation or restructuring projects during periods of significant growth or merger and acquisition activity.
Certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent advanced HR credentials are valued.
Prior experience at a company with a similar global footprint and multi-product portfolio would be particularly valuable.

Experience with applicant tracking systems and talent management software for international hiring workflows.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and generate actionable insights for leadership.

Understanding of benefits administration systems and total rewards platforms for multinational employee populations.
Experience with HR planning and workforce modeling tools that support strategic headcount decisions across global business units.

This is a full-time position based in Markham, Ontario, with expected travel to other Bamboohr offices and industry events throughout the year.
