About the role
This role owns the end to end financial management and strategy for e.l.f. Brands within a multi-brand portfolio environment. What you'll do
Lead the development and oversight of brand financial plans, integrating inputs from marketing, sales, and operations to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
Own the end-to-end financial performance analysis for e.l.f. Brands, identifying variances, trends, and root causes for business outcomes.
Partner with commercial leaders to evaluate retailer and customer economics, ensuring promotional investments and channel strategies drive optimal returns.
Design and maintain financial models that simulate scenarios for distribution opportunities, growth initiatives, and profitability optimization.
Establish a robust framework for performance analysis, translating complex financial data into clear, concise recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and operations to assess the financial impact of campaigns, launches, and operational changes.
Define and manage key performance indicators and metrics that track the health and trajectory of the brand's financial position.
Utilize advanced Excel and financial modeling skills to build scalable tools that support forecasting, planning, and decision making.
Leverage experience with financial planning, BI, and ERP systems to enhance data accuracy, automate reporting, and improve insights.
Provide leadership and mentorship to finance partners, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
At least 5+ years of progressive finance experience is required, ideally within CPG/beauty, retail, or another high-growth consumer environment.
Brand FP&A or commercial finance experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with retailer/customer economics, channel performance, promotional investments, distribution opportunities, or other customer-level growth initiatives is valued.
Financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and financial modeling capabilities are required.
P&L drivers are connected to commercial and operational activity to financial performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with business leaders influences decisions through financial analysis and insights.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills move between detailed analysis and the broader strategic picture.
Clear communication and presentation skills distill complex analyses into clear recommendations.
Comfort with speed, ambiguity, and evolving priorities in a high-growth environment.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are required; experience with financial planning, BI, and ERP systems is preferred.
