About the role
This position sits at the heart of ensuring that planning information moves accurately and efficiently across the e.l.f. Beauty technology landscape. You will own the planning data lifecycle for a new, integrated planning platform that serves multiple brands under one technical ecosystem. The role requires fluency in demand, supply, and inventory planning processes as they connect to system data flows. You will act as a functional bridge between business planners and technical integration teams. A core part of the job is validating that data requirements are correctly defined across Lyric, Snowflake, and SAP S/4 environments. You will collaborate closely with external vendors to ensure that planning data models and integrations are implemented precisely. This position is critical for maintaining data integrity as the business expands its portfolio.

What you'll do
- Manage the end to end lifecycle of planning data, tracing demand and supply processes to define precise data requirements across Lyric, Snowflake, and SAP S/4.
- Partner with the external vendor team responsible for the Lyric data model and its integrations, verifying that planning data transfers correctly between systems without loss or corruption.
- Build a functional understanding of SAP planning to confirm data accuracy, focusing specifically on planned independent requirements for MRP and order allocations.
- Liaise with integration specialists and data teams to sustain reliable data flows, including overseeing weekly forecast uploads into SAP S/4 with strict adherence to timing and quality.
- Offer hands on support for planning processes from the SAP perspective, ensuring that system behavior aligns with business expectations during execution.
- Enable the expansion of the planning platform to support e.l.f., Rhode, and Naturium brands by adapting data structures and processes to new requirements.
- Investigate anomalies in planning data, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions that prevent recurrence and improve data reliability.
- Record data models, integration points, and operational procedures in detailed documentation to retain institutional knowledge and support continuity.
- Monitor system interfaces on a recurring basis, using checks and balances to detect deviations in data movement early.
- Support change initiatives by providing clear explanations of how data moves through planning systems and the impact of proposed modifications.
- Act as a first line of escalation for data related planning issues, coordinating with technical teams to resolve complex scenarios.
- Contribute to the improvement of data quality standards by reviewing inputs, transformations, and outputs across integrated platforms.
- Assist in the configuration and testing of new data mappings required for brand onboarding and process enhancements.
- Promote best practices in planning data management by sharing insights and proposing improvements to existing workflows.
Requirements
- Bring a strong foundation in planning processes such as demand, supply, or inventory planning, with a demonstrated interest in inter system data movement.
- Show a working comprehension of SAP planning functionalities, including demand management, MRP, planned independent requirements, allocations, and associated master data structures.
- Understand how SAP expects data inputs for planning and how outputs are structured for consumption by downstream systems and users.
- Exhibit proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to read data models, write and interpret SQL queries, and map data elements across different systems.
- Display familiarity with integration methods such as file transfers, APIs, and middleware platforms like SAP CPI, including basic troubleshooting concepts.
- Have experience with cloud data platforms, including navigation, querying, and understanding of storage and processing concepts.
- Maintain a proactive and inquisitive approach to learning new technologies and developing expertise in planning system landscapes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when handling planning data that directly affects business operations and decision making.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and explain system behavior.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud data and integration tools that align with the current technology stack, including specific platforms used for planning.
- Prior involvement in the beauty or consumer goods industries, where planning cycles and seasonality play a critical role.
- Previous experience with planning software such as Lyric, o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or SAP IBP, showing familiarity with their data models and processes.
Practical notes
- Total compensation includes competitive pay, benefits, bonus eligibility with a target of 200% of target over the last four fiscal years, and equity grants.
- Work environment is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with flexibility to adjust schedules in alignment with team needs.
- This role is based in India and is open to remote candidates within the specified location policy.
