Martech Engineer
Job description
About the role
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.
We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses - from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world's most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We've raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $11B - multiples of 11, always.
- ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale.
- ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages.
- ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models.
Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team - builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you.
HOW WE WORK
- High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.
- Impact not job titles: We don't have job titles. Instead, it's about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.
- AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company - from engineering to growth to operations.
- Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.
- Global
team: We prioritize your talent, not your location.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Innovative culture: You'll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
- Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact - beyond your immediate role and responsibilities.
- Learning & development: ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend.
- Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.
- Annual company offsite: Each year, we bring the entire team together in a new location - past offsites have included Croatia and Italy.
- Co-working: If you're not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.
What you'll do
- Own our tag manager setup end to end, including the server-side GTM container, and review any changes other teams want to make.
- Work with the paid marketing team daily: fix tracking bugs, set up tracking for new landing pages and campaigns, and debug discrepancies between platform-reported conversions and our internal data.
- Build and maintain server-to-server conversion tracking (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, and similar) and validate pixel vs server deduplication.
- Improve tracking script performance and correctness, keeping script impact on pagespeed and Core Web Vitals within budget.
- Make sure consent handling and regional restrictions are correctly enforced across markets.
- Define event schema and UTM conventions, and document them so tracking for new campaigns is correct by default.
- Build monitoring and alerting for the measurement stack so we catch broken tracking within hours, not weeks.
- Review pull requests that add conversion events to the main app, and work with product engineering on tracking integrations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of marketing attribution models so data matches the expectations of stakeholders.
- Implement robust testing strategies for tracking flows to prevent regressions in production.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, comfortable working in both frontend code and a production application codebase.
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and server-side tag management implementations.
- Proven ability to debug tracking discrepancies across platforms such as Meta and Google Ads.
- Solid understanding of web performance metrics and how tracking scripts affect Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with consent management platforms and compliance with regional data regulations.
- Familiarity with HTTP protocols, server-side event streaming, and webhook integrations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to validate data integrity across complex pipelines.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete tracking specifications and documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with conversion APIs and server-side analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of marketing attribution models and incrementality testing.
- Background in working with enterprise-scale advertising budgets and complex campaigns.
About the role
ElevenLabs is seeking a Martech Engineer to take full ownership of the company's measurement infrastructure and data integrity. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our tracking systems, from initial tag manager configuration to server-side conversion pipelines. This role requires you to act as the primary owner for debugging data discrepancies and ensuring that every marketing dollar is accurately attributed. You will partner daily with the paid marketing team to resolve tracking issues and implement new measurement capabilities for campaigns. Longer term, you will define the architecture of our measurement stack and build proactive monitoring to prevent data loss. Your work will directly influence how marketing budget is allocated across channels. You will ensure that data flows reliably from user interactions to ad platforms. This position is critical for maintaining the trustworthiness of our analytics and maximizing the ROI of our paid acquisition spend.
