About the role
You define and own the APAC communications strategy, shaping how ElevenLabs is understood across a diverse and fast-evolving region. You will build and protect our reputation in major markets, designing campaigns that demonstrate our value in India, Singapore, Japan, Australia, and beyond. You act as the connective tissue between global and regional teams, ensuring consistent storytelling and enabling others to amplify our message effectively. You will spot reputational risks early and take decisive action to mitigate them, protecting the company and its stakeholders. You will support executives with media interviews and speaking opportunities, refining narratives for different audiences and contexts. You will build strong relationships with journalists, influencers, customers, industry bodies, and event organizers to extend our reach and credibility. You will partner across sales, marketing, policy, legal, and deployment teams, aligning closely with GMs and marketing leads driving global expansion. You will define the operating model for comms in APAC and manage agencies as required in specific markets, ensuring local execution meets global standards.

- Define the operating model for comms in APAC, establishing processes and workflows that scale effectively.
- Manage agencies as required in specific markets, ensuring alignment with brand standards and regional objectives.
- Leverage data and insights to refine campaigns, identify opportunities, and demonstrate impact across the region.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate technical developments into compelling narratives.
- Champion an AI-first approach in communications, exploring innovative formats and channels to reach new audiences.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that require coordination across markets, balancing local relevance with global coherence.
- Act as a thought partner for internal stakeholders, helping them understand media trends and audience expectations.
Requirements
- Experience managing communications across multiple markets in APAC, with a proven ability to operate in complex environments.
- Strong relationships with journalists at top-tier publications, plus a demonstrable track record of pitching stories and handling difficult corporate issues.
- A firm grasp of the political, regulatory, economic, and cultural landscape in the region, and how these factors affect communications.
- A knack for unusually creative comms campaigns, including non-traditional tactics and channels that break through the noise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with nascent operating models, navigating ambiguity without sacrificing quality.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information, media inquiries, and potential crises.
- A collaborative mindset, working effectively with remote and cross-functional teams spread across time zones.
- Comfort with data-driven decision making, using insights to iterate and improve campaigns over time.
- Fluency in English is required, with additional local language capabilities being a significant advantage in key markets.
Practical notes
Hours: Full-time based in Singapore.
Travel: Occasional travel within APAC may be required for events and meetings.
Visa: Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
