About the role
You will own the design and delivery of next-generation security solutions that leverage Elastic's Search AI Platform to help customers secure their data and infrastructure at scale. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex security challenges into compelling, AI-powered architectures that improve incident response and operational efficiency. You will evangelize Elastic's vision for search-driven security and SIEM leadership through public speaking, content creation, and customer engagement. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to shape solution capabilities and ensure alignment with market needs. You will demonstrate the value of Elastic Security through hands-on proof-of-value projects that highlight detection, analytics, and response capabilities. You will mentor and enable peers by fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the Solutions Architecture organization. You will stay ahead of rapid changes in SIEM, security analytics, and AI to ensure Elastic remains at the forefront of innovation.

- Engage with customers to understand complex security environments, translating business and technical requirements into robust, scalable architectures.
- Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to develop strategic solutions narratives, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and support high-stakes customer presentations.
- Advise customers on security best practices, operational workflows, and the integration of Elastic Security within existing SOC processes and toolchains.
- Contribute to the development of reusable assets, such as reference architectures, playbooks, and content, that address common use case requirements and accelerate customer adoption.
- Demonstrate Elastic's platform through live implementations, validating performance, scalability, and security outcomes in real-world scenarios.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by acting as a trusted advisor focused on long-term value and mutual success.
- Track and communicate competitive positioning, enabling Elastic to differentiate its SIEM and analytics capabilities in a crowded market.
- Support the creation of technical documentation, case studies, and proof points that highlight the measurable impact of Elastic Security solutions.
- Collaborate with product management to provide feedback that influences roadmap decisions and feature enhancements aligned with customer needs.
Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of experience in enterprise PreSales, with a consistent track record of delivering technical solutions to complex customer environments.
- Demonstrate extensive experience with SIEM platforms and vendor solutions, having designed and deployed security architectures in large-scale, enterprise settings.
- Show deep understanding of AI and its impact on SIEM and analytics, including how machine learning and behavioral analytics enhance detection and response.
- Prove fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages across technical and business audiences.
- Exhibit a strong grasp of SOC workflows, processes, and operational challenges, including incident response, threat hunting, and compliance requirements.
- Display knowledge of a wide range of security solutions, the types of data they generate, and how to build content that satisfies detailed use case requirements.
- Highlight a background that includes forensic analysis, troubleshooting, and threat mitigation across security operations and infrastructure environments.
- Show experience with Behavioral Analytics and Machine Learning techniques, and how these methods are applied within security monitoring and investigation.
- Illustrate the ability to work independently while thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments that demand adaptability and quick decision-making.
- Provide a record of proven success in consultative selling, RFI and RFP responses, and high-impact customer presentations that influence buying decisions.
- Communicate with excellence, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, structured, and persuasive communication.
- Embrace a collaborative spirit, actively sharing knowledge and expertise to elevate the capabilities of peers, partners, and customers.
