What you'll do
Manage and optimize the end-to-end chargeback lifecycle, including notifications, representment, operational controls, and financial performance, while ensuring compliance with card scheme and partner SLAs.
Act as a trusted advisor to Ebanx merchants, providing guidance on fraud and chargeback best practices and identifying opportunities to improve their results through tailored strategies.
Monitor and analyze key fraud and chargeback indicators, such as chargeback rate and win rate, identifying trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities for optimization across diverse portfolios.
Conduct complex fraud and chargeback investigations, translating large volumes of transactional and contextual data into actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
Map and continuously improve operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities to increase scalability, accuracy, and financial performance.
Build and monitor operational and executive dashboards, transforming raw data into clear, visual insights that support strategic decisions and highlight emerging risks.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify operational pain points, propose technical solutions, and support the development of new features that enhance fraud management.
Collaborate directly with acquirers and banking partners, aligning operational workflows and developing strategic fraud and chargeback flows that support Ebanx's business expansion globally.
Monitor changes in card scheme rules, payment regulations, and local regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on Ebanx, our merchants, and our operational processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Support the management, investigation, documentation, and resolution of operational incidents related to fraud and chargebacks, maintaining thorough records and learning from outcomes.
Leverage AI, automation, and data-driven solutions to optimize routine tasks, automate reporting and data extraction, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the chargeback function.
Bring a senior perspective to the team by challenging existing processes, proposing improvements, sharing knowledge, and helping turn complex operational problems into scalable, sustainable solutions.
Requirements
Solid experience in Fraud Prevention, Chargebacks, Disputes, Payments Risk, or related areas within the payments, banking, fintech, acquiring, or e-commerce ecosystem.
Strong knowledge of the chargeback lifecycle, including dispute management, representment, card scheme rules, and operational SLAs that govern global payment operations.
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights that inform decision-making and strategy in high-risk environments.
Excellent communication skills to act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across global teams.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience working with payment networks, acquirers, and banking partners to resolve operational and compliance-related challenges.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulatory and card scheme rules to ensure compliance and minimize operational risk.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, contributing to a culture of transparency and shared ownership.
