Fraud Risk Analyst
Job description
About the role
Fraud Risk Analyst
Unlimit operates at the center of the global digital economy, establishing the infrastructure required for autonomous agents to conduct commerce across any border. The company connects local payment environments into a unified financial layer, enabling instant settlement and programmable accounts for businesses operating on a worldwide scale. This infrastructure is supported by a broad regulatory foundation and operations in multiple major financial centers.
The Fraud Risk Analyst position is critical for maintaining the integrity of this system while supporting its expansion. The role focuses on analyzing transaction data, identifying new fraud tactics, and developing robust detection methodologies. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
The Fraud Risk Analyst is responsible for monitoring and improving the fraud detection framework for a global payments platform. The primary focus is on analyzing live transaction streams to identify subtle indicators of fraud across diverse channels. This analysis directly shapes the rules and logic used to protect the business and its users.
A core part of the position involves designing new detection layers that adapt quickly to evolving criminal behaviors. The analyst must translate complex data patterns into clear narratives that explain fraud risks to technical and non-technical teams. This ensures that prevention strategies are both effective and understandable across the organization.
Close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance is essential. Together, these teams develop and deploy rules that manage risk without compromising legitimate conversion opportunities. The analyst helps guide these discussions by providing accurate data and insightful perspectives on emerging threats.
The work directly influences how fraud strategy is shaped across Unlimit's acquiring markets. By tracking regional settlement flows and settlement behaviors, the analyst helps refine models that ensure transaction safety. This continuous refinement is necessary to respond to changes in the global payments landscape.
