This role is based in Curitiba and requires on-site presence. It is a full-time position with a compensation range of 6000-9999 BRL.

Key Responsibilities

As an Ebanx Software Engineering Specialist, you will design and deploy digital payments infrastructure within autonomous squads that own ideas from conception to delivery. Your work will directly influence how millions of users transact across emerging markets daily. You will design payment components while collaborating closely with teammates to validate system reliability under heavy load. You will break complex requirements into manageable tasks and verify behavior through rigorous automated testing before any release.

Maintaining high code quality is essential; you will conduct detailed code reviews and propose safer patterns for high-volume transaction flows. You will coordinate with analysts and builders from product, finance, risk, and business development to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives. Driving experiments that test new capabilities in production while implementing safeguards for critical paths will be a regular duty. You will prepare deployment packages that meet strict requirements for auditors and support teams ahead of new market features.

Refactoring legacy services to handle increased throughput without causing downtime is a key objective. You will also guide improvements to monitoring and alerting systems so that operations teams can identify and resolve issues rapidly.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must have a proven track record of shipping services that maintain high availability and high throughput, specifically using PHP and MySQL. A deep understanding of data structures, concurrency models, persistence strategies, and distributed systems tradeoffs is required. Mastery of version control workflows in git and the ability to navigate complex collaborative review processes are mandatory.

You must maintain a clear vision for software evolution, including system decomposition and long-term abstraction. The ability to learn new languages, tools, and patterns quickly while absorbing the team's engineering culture is crucial. Clear communication in English is essential for writing specifications and supporting global partners. A passion for crafting elegant and efficient code as systems scale and requirements evolve is expected.
