What you'll do
You will design intake routines that warmly welcome children and their families into the space. These routines will confirm essential details and specific safety needs for every visit. You will shape dynamic activity plans that keep kids active, involved, and safely within established boundaries. Daily reviews of schedules, reservations, and compliance standards will be a regular part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate seamless handoffs with Operations to ensure smooth transitions between childcare services and floor activities. Building strong partnerships with families and staff will strengthen trust around care standards and expectations. Preparing detailed emergency responses and practicing drills is required so the team handles scenarios with confidence and composure. Maintaining detailed logs of attendance, incidents, and communications is necessary for accuracy and accountability. You will support the hiring, coaching, and ongoing development of assistants and associates. Ensuring that all interactions align with company policies and family needs will be central to your daily work.
Requirements
You must hold current certification in first aid and CPR relevant to childcare settings, as this is mandatory for the role. You must reliably manage many tasks at once without losing focus on child safety and well-being. Clear communication with children, parents, and coworkers in person and in writing is required at all times. Respect for the age range of one to twelve years must guide every decision and action you take. Following all center policies, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines is essential for success in this position. Reporting to the Operations Manager as outlined in the team structure is a required part of the job. You must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a consistent commitment to high standards. The ability to remain calm and solution-focused in varied situations is necessary.
Nice to have
Experience leading teams in a childcare or recreation environment is preferred. This prior experience helps in guiding both staff and children effectively. Familiarity with fitness or wellness environments may provide additional context for the role.
Practical notes
The work schedule will align with the operational needs of the site at Mesa, AZ. Travel is generally limited to the immediate work location. EōS Fitness is an anchor store located at Plaza West Covina, a large regional shopping mall in West Covina, California. The mall is owned by Starwood Capital Group and is now managed by Pacific Retail Capital Partners. The site was previously acquired by Westfield America, Inc. in 1998, at which time the center was renamed Westfield Shoppingtown West Covina. The shopping center removed the Shoppingtown name in June 2005. In October 2013, Westfield Group sold the mall to Starwood Capital Group, during which transaction Westfield retained a 10% equity stake in the property.
