Your primary mission is to design and implement district-level routines that preserve a sharp culture and foster enduring customer loyalty. Success in this position requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution to ensure every club thrives.
The specific location for this position is Oxnard, situated at E Vineyard Avenue and West Esplanade Drive. Your core mission involves overseeing the Sales department, with a particular focus on personnel development, recruitment initiatives, operational scheduling, financial planning for payroll, and the oversight of facility conditions. You will be entrusted with protecting both the member journey and the employee experience, ensuring each interaction reflects the highest standards of the brand.
Your total compensation package includes a base salary of $85,000.00, supplemented by commission opportunities. This role is designated for a seasoned professional with a track record of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in demanding sales environments.
Your daily responsibilities will center on optimizing the performance of multiple club locations. You will establish rotas that harmonize member demand with team capacity, ensuring seamless coverage and operational excellence. You will coach sales managers to standardize coaching methods, driving consistent habits and performance across the district. Your analytical skills will be vital in reviewing Medallia data, identifying service friction points, and spearheading recovery initiatives. Maintaining pristine facility conditions and enforcing brand standards will be a constant priority to ensure environments remain inviting. You will address member concerns with urgency, investigating root causes to eliminate recurring issues across all sites. Financial stewardship will be key, as you manage payroll budgets with precision to protect team resources. Regular site visits will allow you to verify policy compliance and remove obstacles for floor staff, empowering them to succeed. You will cultivate local community partnerships that enhance brand awareness and generate new member acquisition. By scrutinizing intake metrics, you will keep membership goals realistic and align team efforts. Finally, you will synthesize these insights and deliver them to regional leadership, ensuring strategies align with actual member needs.
To excel, you must already possess a strong foundation in sales, with a minimum of five years of experience. You must also have a proven history of leading teams, specifically managing multiple units simultaneously while juggling responsibilities for four to six sites within a single district. A background in the fitness sector is advantageous, as it allows you to clearly articulate services and member engagement tactics. Your communication style must remain calm and professional, whether in writing or speech, adapting your tone to suit executives, staff, customers, and vendors alike. Meticulous attention to detail, systematic problem-solving, and disciplined record-keeping are non-negotiable. Proficiency in Excel and standard office software is essential, as you will transform complex data into compelling narratives. While not mandatory, prior experience in fitness sales and management is highly valued for its ability to provide industry-specific context. It is now managed by Pacific Retail Capital Partners. The site was previously acquired by Westfield America, Inc. in 1998. At that time, the center was renamed Westfield Shoppingtown West Covina. The shopping center dropped the Shoppingtown name in June 2005. In October 2013, Westfield Group sold the mall to Starwood Capital Group.
