Responsibilities
The District Operations Manager oversees the Service team and supports daily Operations tasks. Key duties include people leadership, recruiting, inventory management, schedule coordination, payroll oversight, budget monitoring, and facility maintenance. The role demands strong organizational skills to manage daily, weekly, and monthly operational priorities. Priority is given to the member and team member experience in every decision.
Specific responsibilities include ensuring all gym locations operate efficiently and in alignment with company policies and standards. The manager recruits, trains, and develops gym managers and staff to sustain a high-performance team. Leadership is demonstrated through task prioritization, performance coaching, effective communication, and business analysis.
The manager leads CPR certification sessions following organizational guidelines and maintains all CPR records for the district. They deliver comprehensive, engaging hands-on training for adult learners, providing real-time support and feedback. A positive member experience is promoted by enforcing high standards of service, cleanliness, and facility maintenance.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) are analyzed to assess and improve operational effectiveness and drive growth, including data from sources such as Medallia. Compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, procedures, and industry standards is ensured. Operational issues, member complaints, and staff concerns are addressed and resolved promptly. Collaboration among gym managers and staff is fostered to share best practices and encourage continuous improvement. Community relationships are built to enhance brand visibility and attract new members.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of customer service experience. A minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience is required. The role requires directing four to six locations, depending on the market, with ownership of multi-unit results. Previous experience delivering excellent customer service and training is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interactions with employees, management, and vendors. Candidates must remain calm, professional, and empathetic when engaging with all levels of management, employees, customers, and vendors. Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills are required across all functions.
Detail orientation, a systematic approach to problem solving, and strong time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, is expected. Adherence to health rules and company policies is mandatory to ensure compliance every shift.

It is now managed by Pacific Retail Capital Partners. The site was previously acquired by Westfield America, Inc. in 1998. At that time, the center was renamed Westfield Shoppingtown West Covina. The shopping center dropped the Shoppingtown name in June 2005. In October 2013, Westfield Group sold the mall to Starwood Capital Group.
