We are seeking a visionary leader for a newly formed role: Director of Procurement. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design, build, and lead a centralized procurement organization. You will architect processes, assemble a high-performing team, and deploy a modern technology stack. Your work will directly support our aggressive expansion across more than 250 gyms in the portfolio. The focus is on maximizing efficiency, mitigating risk, and delivering significant value through strategic sourcing.
Department and Reporting
This position resides within the Facilities department. The Director of Procurement reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Facilities. This reporting line ensures close alignment between procurement activities and the broader operational goals of the company.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the complete procurement lifecycle for the organization. Your responsibilities will span strategy, vendor management, process optimization, and cross-functional leadership.
You will lead the design of the intake workflow. This involves defining needs, mapping requirements, and aligning stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency. You will translate business needs into precise specifications for goods and services.
You will oversee the design of the build workflow. This includes selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and constructing the framework of agreements. Your goal is to build a scalable structure that supports our growth targets and long-term strategic objectives.
You will establish the review workflow for performance management. This involves defining key performance indicators, evaluating vendor performance, and refining standards. Your focus will be on maintaining quality assurance and driving continuous improvement across all agreements.
You will orchestrate the ship workflow for execution and delivery. This responsibility includes managing the procurement process end-to-end, closing gaps, and ensuring reliable on-time delivery. You will monitor timelines, manage issues, and enforce compliance with established procedures.
You will cultivate the partner workflow for relationship management. This involves nurturing strategic relationships with key vendors and expanding collaboration across the portfolio. You will identify new opportunities for partnership and innovation.
You will champion category expertise to secure a competitive advantage. This requires deep market analysis, understanding of pricing trends, and application of insights specific to the fitness industry. You will use this knowledge to optimize spend and create favorable conditions for our portfolio.
You will guide cross-functional collaboration between business units and leadership. You will synchronize goals, resolve conflicts, and ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with company-wide initiatives. This role serves as a central point of contact for all procurement-related matters.
You will advance technology integration to improve visibility and efficiency. You will evaluate, implement, and optimize modern procurement tools. Your work will streamline operations, provide actionable data, and enhance decision-making capabilities.
Requirements
You must possess deep procurement expertise. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a procurement or similar role is required. You have a proven track record of managing complex sourcing initiatives and vendor relationships.
You must demonstrate strong leadership credentials. You have experience guiding teams through change and navigating complex organizational environments. You inspire trust and foster collaboration among stakeholders at all levels.
You must show a proven capacity to transform departments into strategic, trusted partners. You move beyond transactional tasks to deliver strategic value. You use data and insight to influence decision-making and drive business outcomes.

Nice to Have
Experience in fitness, wellness, or high-volume service environments is preferred. Familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities within these sectors is a significant advantage.
Compensation and Location
