As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key facts

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings and audits as required.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation to support audits and internal controls.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide support during financial audits, coordinating with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, leveraging your expertise to drive improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a significant advantage.
• Experience in the tech or software industry would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Armenian and English, are a plus.
• Previous experience with financial audits and compliance processes.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Understanding of data management and financial analysis techniques.
