What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance across various applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans that align with business objectives.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects in a clear and concise manner to ensure timely resolution.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in automation.
• Conduct code reviews for test scripts and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster a culture of quality.
• Maintain and update existing automated test suites to adapt to changes in application functionality and technology.
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, providing insights on testing strategies and timelines.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and guiding them in their professional development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing to drive innovation within the team.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless deployment processes.
• Document testing processes, results, and best practices to create a knowledge base for future reference.
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging efforts to identify root causes of defects and improve overall software quality.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with the ability to write clean and maintainable code.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI is desirable.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, to manage code changes effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile application testing and familiarity with mobile automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and services.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a QA team.
• Familiarity with security testing practices and tools.
• Understanding of database testing and SQL for validating data integrity.
