About the role
You own the full operational performance and daily execution of the Residential Install department at our Olathe, Kansas location. You will plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments while ensuring projects are completed timely, below budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer. You will review workload and manpower to align resources with demand in a cost-effective manner. You will review monthly financial and operational reports and collaborate with front-line managers to develop action plans that drive continuous improvement. You will actively improve the performance of the field force through daily, monthly, and yearly reviews. You will assist with hiring, training, and developing new employees to support team growth and capability. You will uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service in every installation. Other duties will be assigned as needed to support company objectives.

What you'll do
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Residential Install department to ensure smooth workflow and on-time project completion.
- Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and confirm that the plan is properly executed across all installations.
- Review workload and manpower levels to meet customer commitments in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer on every job.
- Review monthly financial and operational reports and work with front-line managers to develop actionable improvement plans.
- Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through structured daily, monthly, and yearly performance reviews.
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing new employees to strengthen the team and support long-term growth.
- Maintain strong communication with sales, office staff, and customers to coordinate expectations and resolve issues proactively.
- Perform root cause analysis on delays or problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all installations comply with company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory and material usage to support efficient operations and cost control.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and standardize processes across the installation team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to installers to promote skill development and safe work habits.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete any additional assignments as requested by management to support broader business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred as foundational educational background.
- 3-5 years of management experience preferred, ideally with supervisory or managerial responsibilities within a company that services or installs new equipment or products.
- Must possess the capability of managing and developing skilled field technicians and installers while working toward the common goal of providing top-level service with a focus on minimizing labor costs and maximizing profit.
- Must be an excellent communicator who is highly organized and demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must hold a Valid Driver's License to perform essential job functions involving travel and site visits.
- Must successfully complete employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record review (if applicable) prior to hire.
