About the role
The Operations Manager at DH Pace in Bloomington, IL is responsible for the end-to-end oversight of daily field and office activities, ensuring seamless execution of service and new construction projects. You will partner directly with skilled field installers and service technicians to guarantee that existing customer projects are scheduled and completed on time, meeting all customer expectations. This role owns the responsibility of driving revenue growth by actively increasing New Construction and Service work for automatic entry doors, manual entry doors, commercial doors, and residential garage doors. Lead weekly SODD and Ageing meetings to address operational inefficiencies and drive corrective actions.
Utilize analytical skills to evaluate operational data, financial results, and survey feedback to isolate key insights and implement process improvements.
Effectively communicate with customers on-site and in the office to confirm that the highest quality of service has been delivered.
Assist with the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, coaching managers, and conducting yearly performance reviews.
Maintain proficiency with Windows-based programs and ERP/CRM systems to manage budgets, ordering, and financial forecasting.
Develop and lead monthly safety meetings, department meetings, and financial reviews to ensure alignment with senior management objectives.
Ensure proper management of Length of Service reporting and all related metrics to track team performance.
Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues, providing problem resolutions to support the installation and service teams in the field.
Support the achievement of financial objectives by driving New Construction and Service work revenues to meet or exceed the annual budget and forecast.
Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned by senior leadership to support organizational goals.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing field and office personnel, sales, projects, budgets, and financials.
Demonstrate a proven ability to interface effectively with customers and sales staff while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Showcase a willingness to train up to three (3) times during the first 90 days in St. Louis, MO to adapt to different operational environments.
Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record as required for the role.
Be proficient with Windows-based programs and have hands-on experience with ERP/CRM systems.
Possess strong analytical skills to evaluate operational data, processes, and financial metrics for decision-making.
Exhibit technical application ability and a solid understanding of mechanical systems relevant to door and security operations.
Successfully complete reference checks, employment verifications, background checks, and drug screens prior to hire.
Earn a Bachelor's degree, which is preferred for this position and demonstrates a commitment to professional growth.
