DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead commercial door initiatives in Houston, Texas. This role is central to maintaining the high satisfaction levels required for successful construction projects. Position Overview

The Operations Manager will lead and oversee all commercial door systems operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, effectively, safely, and profitably. This leader will manage and improve operational procedures with the primary objective of maximizing profit while emphasizing exceptional customer satisfaction and fostering return business. Key responsibilities include effectively managing operations to ensure all sold jobs are scheduled timely and performed skillfully to achieve divisional budgeted sales and gross profit objectives. The manager will collaborate closely to ensure operating budgets and sales goals align and remain on track on a monthly basis. A core focus will be delivering profit dollars and return on sales that meet or exceed the yearly financial budget and forecast. This leader will establish clear objectives and action plans, ensuring all activities remain consistent with corporate objectives. The role involves hiring, training, and developing new employees while improving individual performance through daily coaching, project outcomes, scorecard reviews, and formal performance reviews. Effective leadership of meetings, setting performance expectations, and holding employees accountable will be fundamental to the position. Direct communication with customers will occur to solicit feedback, solve problems, and identify new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage daily plans that organize crews, tools, and materials specifically for commercial door work.
• Design and implement workflows designed to keep commercial door installation projects moving profitably across various Houston sites.
• Oversee scheduling and performance metrics to confirm sold jobs hit budgeted sales and gross profit targets.
• Track and analyze monthly operational data to ensure budgets, sales goals, and forecasts remain aligned.
• Develop and coach staff through reviews and clear expectations to drive project outcomes forward.
• Field direct customer feedback to resolve issues promptly and uncover new service opportunities.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality standards while managing hands-on activities under tight deadlines.
• Forge strong partner coordination across internal teams to support the success of commercial door systems.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and possess a minimum of two years' performance experience managing departments or projects within service settings. A strong ability to handle technical applications, mechanical and electrical systems, and complex problem solving is required. Experience conducting meetings for both exempt and non-exempt personnel is essential, including hiring, training, developing, and conducting annual performance reviews. The ideal candidate must thrive in an active, hands-on environment where meeting deadlines is critical and providing unmatched customer service is mandatory.
